Very good service... thanks
Think about the last family dinner. Someone cracked a joke at the other end of the table. Everyone laughed. Did you catch it — or did you just laugh along because everyone else did?
Most people with hearing loss don’t wake up one day and realise something’s wrong. It’s slower than that. One missed punchline becomes twenty. Phone calls get harder. You stop going to certain places because they’re too loud to manage. And somewhere along the way it stops feeling like a hearing problem and starts feeling like just… your life now.
It doesn’t have to be.
At The Hearing Centre Singapore, our certified audiologists have been working with patients of all ages since 2004. Whether it’s gradual hearing loss, tinnitus that won’t quit, or just wanting to know where your hearing actually stands — we’re here, and we take it seriously.
Book a consultation with our audiologist in Singapore today and find out what you’ve been missing.
Fair question. People mix this up a lot.
An audiologist in Singapore is a trained healthcare professional who specialises in diagnosing, treating, and managing hearing and balance disorders — across all ages, newborns through to elderly adults. It’s a lot more involved than playing beeps through headphones and ticking boxes.
A good hearing specialist in Singapore looks at the full picture. The type and degree of any hearing loss. How the middle ear is functioning. Whether the auditory nerve and brainstem are doing what they should. And critically — how all of this is actually affecting your day-to-day life and communication.
At The Hearing Centre, our certified audiologists do all of this. Carefully, without rushing, and without recommending anything before they understand your specific situation.
We also work directly with ENT specialists when a patient’s condition has medical components that go beyond audiology. That collaboration matters — it means nothing gets missed because it fell between two different appointments.
Hearing loss doesn’t usually announce itself. It edges in. By the time most people book an appointment, they’ve been managing it quietly for longer than they’d like to admit.
Worth booking a hearing assessment if you’re regularly dealing with any of these:
Asking people to repeat themselves more than you're comfortable with
Struggling to follow conversations in noisy spots — hawker centres, MRT stations, family gatherings
TV volume that makes everyone else in the room wince
Phone calls where you're guessing at words because the signal sounds fine but the speech doesn't
A ringing, buzzing, or hissing in your ears that's just always there
Feeling worn out after social situations — not from the people, but from the effort of trying to hear
Children's voices or higher-pitched sounds becoming genuinely hard to catch
Any one of these is worth taking seriously. More than one and a proper diagnostic hearing test with a qualified audiologist in Singapore is overdue.
Getting assessed at The Hearing Centre is straightforward. Non-invasive. No pressure. Just an honest picture of where your hearing stands.
Every hearing care journey at The Hearing Centre starts the same way — with an accurate, thorough assessment. Not a device recommendation. Not a sales conversation. Just a proper clinical picture of what’s actually happening with your hearing.
We use several tests together, each giving a different layer of information:
This is the foundation of every diagnostic hearing test we run. PTA measures the softest sounds you can detect across a full range of frequencies — low bass tones right through to sharp, high-pitched ones. Everything gets plotted onto an audiogram. Painless, non-invasive, done in a single appointment.
PTA tells us how well you’re hearing. Tympanometry tells us why. It checks the middle ear and eardrum — picking up fluid behind the eardrum, middle ear infections, or structural changes that might be blocking sound before it even reaches the inner ear.
The Auditory Brainstem Response (ABR) and Auditory Steady State Response (ASSR) tests go a level deeper — measuring how the auditory nerve and brainstem respond to sound neurologically. These matter especially for patients who can’t do standard behavioural testing, including very young children, infants, or cases where earlier test results weren’t conclusive.
Taken together, these give our certified audiologists a complete foundation — not just for diagnosing what’s happening today, but for working out the most appropriate way forward.
We also offer a free online hearing test for anyone who wants an initial sense of their hearing before booking a clinic appointment. It’s not a replacement for a proper assessment, but it’s a reasonable first step if you’re unsure whether you need to come in.
Finding the right hearing aid isn’t a shopping exercise. The device that genuinely changes someone’s daily life and the one that ends up forgotten in a drawer after three weeks can look almost identical from the outside. The difference is what happens during the fitting process.
At The Hearing Centre, the consultation starts with understanding you — your hearing profile, the environments you spend most time in, your dexterity, your comfort with technology, and your budget. Nothing gets recommended before that picture is clear.
We carry a full range from the most trusted manufacturers:
Styles available cover the full spectrum:
Every hearing aid fitting at The Hearing Centre includes Real Ear Measurement (REM) verification. This is the clinical standard for confirming the device is delivering exactly the right amplification at every frequency for your specific ear. A lot of clinics skip this step. We do it every single time.
Follow-up appointments are scheduled as standard — to fine-tune as your brain adjusts to processing clearer sound, and to make sure you’re confident using the device in real daily life.
If you’ve got a ringing, buzzing, humming, or hissing that nobody else can hear — you already know how wearing it gets. It doesn’t always blare. Sometimes it just sits there, in quiet rooms, at the edge of sleep, underneath conversations you’re trying to follow.
Tinnitus often accompanies hearing loss. The two usually need to be assessed and managed together to get the best results.
At The Hearing Centre, our tinnitus assessment starts with a thorough look at both your hearing health and the specifics of your tinnitus — its pitch, intensity, and how much it’s actually affecting your sleep, focus, and daily life. From there, the audiologist builds a personalised management plan. That might include masking devices, sound therapy, counselling, or hearing aid features specifically designed to reduce tinnitus prominence during daily listening.
Meaningful relief is achievable for most patients. What it requires is a proper assessment — not just learning to live with it.
For patients with severe to profound hearing loss who aren’t getting enough from hearing aids, cochlear implants are a different kind of solution entirely.
A cochlear implant doesn’t amplify sound the way a hearing aid does. It bypasses the damaged hair cells in the inner ear and sends electrical signals directly to the auditory nerve — giving the brain a way to perceive sound that amplification alone can’t provide for patients in this category.
At The Hearing Centre, our involvement in the cochlear implant journey covers:
For children especially, timing matters a lot. The developing brain is most receptive during the early years, and cochlear implantation during that window can make a lasting difference to speech development, language, and social confidence.
There are other places to get a hearing test in Singapore. What’s harder to find is a clinic that stays genuinely involved after the appointment ends.
Our certified audiologists have spent more than two decades working across every age group and degree of hearing loss. That experience shows — not just in diagnostic accuracy, but in how the team handles patients who are nervous, overwhelmed, or have had disappointing results elsewhere.
No two patients hear the same way. No two treatment plans here are the same either. Everything — device recommendation, fitting process, rehabilitation plan — is built around your hearing profile and your actual life.
From the first diagnostic hearing test through to hearing aid fitting, tinnitus management, cochlear implant support, and long-term follow-up — the same team manages it all. No referrals to unfamiliar clinics. No explaining your history from scratch every time.
For patients whose hearing challenges have medical components, our audiologists work directly with ENT hearing consultants. Integrated care, not two separate appointments that never quite talk to each other.
Lucky Plaza (Main Branch), Ang Mo Kio, Tampines, Jurong (IMM), Raffles Hospital, East Coast, and the Cambodia Branch. Professional hearing care in Singapore, wherever you are on the island.
Your first conversation with our team comes with no obligation and no pressure. Just honest guidance from people who care about getting it right.
The certificates matter. But they’re not what defines how our audiologists actually work.
What defines them is how they handle a nervous patient who’s been putting this off for years. How they explain an audiogram in plain language without talking down to anyone. How they take time to understand a person’s daily life before recommending something that changes it.
Our team works directly with ENT hearing consultants for complex cases — making sure every medical and audiological dimension gets properly addressed and coordinated, not siloed into separate appointments that don’t connect.
From the first visit through to the most recent follow-up, the approach stays the same.

The right audiologist is one who takes time to understand your full hearing picture, explains your options honestly, and stays involved throughout — not just during a single appointment. Our certified audiologists bring over 20 years of clinical experience and a patient-first approach to every consultation at The Hearing Centre.
An audiologist focuses on diagnosing and treating hearing and balance disorders through non-surgical means — assessments, hearing aid fittings, tinnitus management, rehabilitation. An ENT specialist is a medical doctor managing ear diseases, infections, and surgical conditions. At The Hearing Centre, both work together for patients who need input from both.
Every one to two years for most adults. If you’re over 60, have a history of hearing loss or noise exposure, or deal with tinnitus — more frequent checks make sense. A lot of patients are genuinely surprised by how much shifts between annual visits.
You can try. But without an accurate audiogram, the device can’t be programmed correctly — and a poorly fitted hearing aid often makes communication harder, not easier. The hearing assessment isn’t a formality. It’s what makes the fitting work.
Phonak, Signia, Starkey, and ReSound — across the full range of styles including BTE, RIC, ITE, ITC, CIC, and IIC. The recommendation is based on your clinical results and how you actually live. Not brand preference.
Yes. Comprehensive tinnitus assessment and management — masking devices, sound therapy, counselling — all tailored to your specific tinnitus profile.
Most people adapt meaningfully within two to four weeks. Full adjustment can take several months, particularly after a long period of untreated hearing loss. Regular follow-up at our audiology clinic keeps the device fine-tuned throughout.
Yes — for devices purchased at The Hearing Centre and elsewhere.
Better hearing doesn’t start with a device.
It starts with someone taking the time to understand what you’re actually experiencing — and then working through it with you, step by step, without rushing to a sale.
That’s what every appointment at The Hearing Centre Singapore is built around.
Whether you’re coming in for the first time, bringing a family member who’s been putting it off, or returning after a disappointing experience somewhere else — the team here will meet you where you are.
Finding out where your hearing stands costs you nothing. What you do with that information is up to you.
